OD ETDP Qualification

National Certificate: Occupationally Directed Education Training and Development Practices (SAQA QUAL ID: 50334)
Purpose:
This qualification is for those who want to build on a FETC in any field to enter the field of ODETD as a potential career, and have little or no previous exposure to ETD. The qualification will also be valuable for those who may have been practising within the field, but without formal recognition. This qualification will be useful for:
• Learning facilitators
• Assessors
• Learner and learning supporters
• Skills Development Facilitators
This qualification will provide practitioners with the general ETD skills required at NQF level 5 across five key ETD roles, with the opportunity to specialise further in one of the following four roles:
• Design and develop learning interventions
• Facilitate learning
• Design and conduct assessments
• Facilitate skills development
Practitioners will generally carry out their role within the context of:
Given Quality Assurance policies, procedures and processes
A guided and supported learning environment
PDA learners will went with us through all obligatory unite standards and carefully selected elective unite standards in such a way that your way to OD ETDP diploma and further development will be open.
There are three ways you can complete the certificate with us:
1.
INTENSE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (6 months)
Upon request we start intense certificate programme which consist of 4 few day long training sessions (24 days in total). Between sessions learners will have time to complete their portfolios of evidence. Click here for programme outlines.
2.
FLEXIBLE CERTIFICATE PROGRAMME (1 year)
If you do not feel like having an intensive education experience within 6 months we are happy to assist you with more flexible option:
Register for whole certificate and sign up to attend the modular training whenever it suits you (to be completed within one year). Within that time, you will need to complete and provide a portfolio of evidence for the following training modules (please click the links below for course outlines):
• Assessor skills
• Facilitation skills
• Moderation skills
• Skills Development Facilitator's programme
• Mentoring & Coaching
• Evaluation skills
• Develop outcomes-based learning programmes
• Oral Communication
• Written Communication
Attending all of those courses will take you 27 days in total and you are free to choose when you want to attend them. Look at our Cape Town 2010, Cape Town 2011 and choose suitable dates.
Remember that you will need to complete a portfolio of evidence after each Module and all training needs to be completed within 1 year.
3.
COLLECT UNIT STANDARTS (RPL)
If you have already accumulated some of the required unit standards and you wish to finalise your qualification by completing the ODETDP Certificate, let us assist you with assessing your current qualification level and provide you with Recognition of Prior Learning for these unit Standards acquired.
